The game based on Marvel’s Black Panther, developed by Cliffhanger Games, has been cancelled along with the studio’s closure. At the time of its cancellation, details about the project were scarce, only known to have a single-player focus and an open world setting. Recently, it appears that more information about the game has surfaced through a secret playtest that took place at an undisclosed time.
As a diehard fan, I’m excitedly sharing some intriguing details about an upcoming game. @notfunEman recently unveiled some stunning concept art featuring various game settings, one of which is none other than Wakanda! Moreover, they hinted at the possibility that Azari, T’Challa’s son, could be among the playable characters. This suggestion was based on a scene in a survey, strikingly similar to the film’s ritual combat. I can hardly contain my excitement!
As a diehard fan, I found myself amazed when, all of a sudden, a Skrull ship materialized and whisked away T’Challa. When I inquired for confirmation, the user shared an image highlighting a home playtest session (even though they stressed that it wasn’t their email “from a legal standpoint”).
Approach information with a bit of skepticism, but from what developers who were part of the project have shared, it seems like it would have been something truly distinctive. At this moment, Electronic Arts’ other Marvel-themed project, Iron Man, is being developed at Motive. Keep an eye out for further developments in the meantime.
