Capcom Accidentally Outs Upcoming Collab with K-Pop Supergroup AESPA

As a diehard fan, I was caught off guard earlier today by the revelation that Street Fighter 6 has added a fresh batch of classic Famicom games – an exciting surprise indeed! Yet, the new Juri outfit adorned with the name of K-pop sensation AESPA feels somewhat unintentional.

In the midst of battling V-Rivals within the global AI practice arena called the Battle Hub, the players stumbled upon a hidden costume during their gameplay.

In their statement, Capcom mentioned that they needed to “temporarily pause” the release of the game because an “unforeseen outfit” might be added to the character’s design. From the leaked images we’ve viewed, she appears to have a streak of gold running through her hair and is even wearing shoes, which is quite uncharacteristic for her.

The fact that AESPA’s band name is visible on her chest suggests there might be an upcoming joint project that hasn’t been revealed publicly yet.

It’ll be intriguing to observe how this collaboration unfolds, and whether it signifies a new approach for Capcom regarding costume releases, as hinted earlier this year. Since they mentioned they would overhaul the way costumes and Fighter Passes are released, let’s stay tuned to find out what they have planned.

For now, Karina is my top pick among AESPA, and I firmly believe she’s the right choice. I look forward to discussing this further in the comments, fellow Winter fans.
