During an interview with JoBlo Celebrity Access, Onah referred to Ford as a remarkably self-aware individual who is fully aware of the enjoyable experience they all share while filming.

As a devoted fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I was truly disappointed when I noticed that a pivotal moment featuring the Red Hulk in Captain America 4 didn’t make it to the final edit. Instead, we only got to see an intense physical brawl between Captain America and the Red Hulk.

In the comics, the Red Hulk is known for wielding potent firearms, a testament to his past as a military general. This weapon-wielding aspect of the character could have added a fresh, exciting element to the Red Hulk’s portrayal in the MCU, an opportunity I believe many fans felt was missed when this scene was taken out.

I too shared thoughts about providing guidance to Ford, pointing out that it wasn’t difficult because, as an actor, I can’t view myself objectively. Instead, I must rely on the fact that a director will assist in shaping and safeguarding my performance.

Of course, an actor can’t observe themselves while performing. Regardless of their expertise or talent, they rely on the director to guide and safeguard their performance. As a theater graduate, I always strive to support the cast in this capacity.

In a subsequent discussion, Onah mentioned some scenes from Captain America 4 that needed to be trimmed, such as an action sequence featuring Sam Wilson performing a flip and using the Captain America shield in a fast-paced shot.

This instance was intended to be a “preview and forerunner of a stunt he performs later,” as when he splits a car in half during his fight against Red Hulk. He expressed regret that this scene didn’t make it into the film, as he appreciates “visual references” and “moments where elements within the movie seem to interact or reference each other.

As a passionate cinephile, I can’t help but reminisce about the scenes I had to let go while crafting my films. In this particular project, there was a thrilling action sequence – the hallway fight – that contained a captivating high-speed shot where our protagonist Sam performed an impressive flip onto a shield, effectively incapacitating someone. This shot not only added excitement but also served as a subtle precursor to another awe-inspiring flip he performs later in the movie, slicing a car in half. I adore those moments of visual continuity that tie scenes together across the film. Regrettably, we decided to eliminate this earlier scene, and in retrospect, I believe it should have remained for its cool factor.

At last, Ford appeared briefly in the final fight scene of Captain America 4 as the Red Hulk. Later, due to his actions, he was imprisoned at The Raft, relinquishing his presidency and submitting to the penalties for his misdeeds.
