Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Shows Red Hulk Battling Sam Wilson

As a long-time Marvel fan and avid follower of the MCU, I must say that the new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World left me absolutely thrilled! The transformation of Thaddeus Ross into the Red Hulk is something I’ve been eagerly anticipating since the end of Black Widow.

Over the weekend, I was thrilled to witness Marvel Studios unveil a fresh trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” at D23 Expo Brazil. This sneak peek offers an unprecedented glimpse into the metamorphosis of Thaddeus Ross, now played by Harrison Ford, into the Red Hulk. The clip showcases a gripping confrontation between the Red Hulk and Captain America (Anthony Mackie), particularly a tense exchange where they square off against each other.

In “Captain America: Brave New World,” Sam Wilson/Anthony Mackie makes his big-screen debut as Steve Rogers’ successor, Captain America, following his assumption of the role in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Previously hesitant to fill his mentor’s shoes on that show, Sam now appears eager to demonstrate how he approaches things differently compared to the most well-known Captain America.

In the trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World,” there’s a scene showing a fight taking place near Tiamut the Communicator, a character who appeared in Marvel’s “Eternals” movie and was turned into marble by Sersi. This massive alien corpse in Earth’s ocean has been a significant, unresolved mystery in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time now. It looks like “Captain America: Brave New World” might finally explore what this means.

2025 appears to be a year of change for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following a single Marvel Studios film in 2024 – “Deadpool & Wolverine,” a tribute to the earlier Marvel films more than anything else. I’m looking forward to “Captain America: Brave New World” as the initial release of three movies slated for 2025. Both “Brave New World” and “Thunderbolts” seem to draw inspiration from the political thriller style of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” with a focus on tight, realistic action sequences. These films will conclude Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before we delve into Phase 6 with “Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on February 14, 2025.
