Cardi B Slams Offset’s Spousal Support Request

Cardi B is not holding back. 

In simpler terms, the musician known as “WAP” posted a harsh comment criticizing her former spouse, Offset, who recently asked for alimony during their ongoing divorce proceedings.

In July 2024, the 32-year-old chose to separate from Offset. Later, she claimed that she modified her own divorce petition to eliminate her demand for child support from the MC for their three children – Kulture (aged 6), Wave (aged 3), and Blossom (8 months) – with the aim of expediting the legal proceedings of their separation.

Cardi stated, ‘I haven’t requested child support as I wish to end this marriage,’ expressing a feeling of being bound or restricted.

However, she clarified that this doesn’t imply she’s restricting Offset (whose real name is Kiari Cephus) from visiting his children. Rather, she emphasized that there’s no day when he can’t spend time with her kids.

Three times, I’ve stood up for my children, Cardi asserted. Yet, he’s scarcely managed to catch a glimpse of Blossom, barely five times. As reported, the rapper known for “I Like It”, Offset, last saw his children in March. This was during a family celebration of Kody’s 9th birthday, a son he shares with his ex, Oriel Jamie. It is also worth mentioning that Offset is a father to Jordan, aged 14, and Kalea, aged 9, from past relationships.

She expressed, “My home is readily available whenever you wish to meet the children, but it seems you haven’t had the chance yet. You’re seeking spousal support as I’m trying to keep the kids from you? The children are always open for your visits. It’s not my doing that you don’t want to travel to New York.

This month, court records show that Offset has amended his response to Cardi B’s divorce filing, asking for an undisclosed sum as alimony, as reported by TMZ.

Before they announced their impending third child on August 1st, the ex-spouses – who had been married for six years but divorced on July 31st – had experienced various highs and lows in the process of finalizing their divorce, having encountered multiple challenges along the way.

Despite the ups and downs in their past, Offset (currently dating model Melanie Jayda) recently expressed approval for Cardi B’s budding romance with NFL player Stefon Diggs, whom she was first linked to romantically in October.

Initially, a fan speculated that the rapper known as “Ric Flair Drip” would be left throwing punches due to an Instagram video featuring Cardi and Stefon at a Knicks game. However, he clarified his feelings in the comments section, expressing his happiness for her instead.
