Carlos Santana is on the mend.
Due to his hospitalization just before the event, the concert scheduled for April 22 in San Antonio, Texas by the guitarist has been rescheduled, as confirmed by his representative to People.
Michael Vrionis, Universal Tone Management president and Santana’s representative, regrettably announced that tonight’s performance in San Antonio has been delayed. Santana encountered a situation at the venue (Majestic Theatre) this evening, which was identified as dehydration while preparing for the show.
He explained, “For the utmost safety and well-being of Mr. Santana, it seemed sensible and cautious to reschedule the performance instead.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share some insights I gained from delving into Santana’s recent health situation after his dehydration episode. It’s important to remember that we all need to prioritize our hydration and well-being, no matter our age or status.
The representative went on to say that he’s in good shape and eagerly anticipates his return to San Antonio soon, along with the continuation of his U.S. tour. He expressed his gratitude for everyone’s patience. Rest assured, the concert will be rescheduled shortly.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: I’ve found myself in a familiar situation, as the musician I’m talking about has postponed shows yet again due to health issues. In fact, just three months prior to his scheduled San Antonio gig, Santana faced an unexpected setback – he had to postpone his Las Vegas residency because of an injury to his finger sustained from a fall. The mishap necessitated surgery.
It was shared with Variety magazine in January that Carlos suffered an injury while on vacation in Kauai. He fell badly and fractured a finger on his left hand. Consequently, small pins were inserted into the finger for healing. Regrettably, this means he won’t be able to play the guitar for about six weeks.
About three years ago, Santana encountered a similar instance of dehydration during a July 2019 concert in Michigan, which led him to reschedule the performance. After experiencing “heat exhaustion”, he informed his fans about the situation.
Santana expressed gratitude for everyone’s heartfelt prayers on Facebook. She admitted that she became dehydrated due to forgetting to eat and drink, leading her to faint. She sends blessings and miracles to each one of you.”
“In a Facebook post, Santana thanked everyone for their valuable prayers. She confessed that she neglected eating and drinking water, causing her to become dehydrated and lose consciousness. In return, she wishes you all blessings and miracles.

Previously part of Bachelor Nation, this individual disclosed that he had to visit the hospital, moving on hands and knees because of severe back pain that worsened while traveling in an RV with a companion.
In the March 2025 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast, he remarked that his legs were still numb from toes to knees, which was surprising. To provide some context, let me clarify that just a few weeks or perhaps a month earlier, he was managing to squat about 295 pounds. Now, though, he can’t even do a single-leg squat without falling over – it’s as if he had a minor stroke or something.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
In a game held in December 2024, an AHL player got injured when another player’s skate accidentally sliced him open. Consequently, he needed 25 stitches to close the wound. Another person at our gathering discharged their weapon recklessly and accidentally shot me in the face,” she posted on Instagram. “@thebrendanrooney swiftly responded, evaluated my injuries, and rushed me to the hospital. I was struck in five spots, with one only narrowly missing my right eye.
The former Kim Possible star went on to say, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck near my eye, and it’s not safe to extract it through surgery just yet. My doctors are keeping a close watch on me for now; I can see fine as things stand.
The actress expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being alive. She declared, “My daughters, husband, family, and friends mean the world to me.” Recounting a close call where she felt her life flashed by, she emphasized that one should never miss an opportunity to embrace the people around them. In a moment’s notice, life can take an unexpected turn.
Despite the internet often being unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful that this time it provided her with valuable insights. In an episode of Call Her Daddy from January 2025, she humorously commented on her face looking different due to steroids, saying “The internet came hard for me, and I was like ‘Everybody calm down,’ but then doctors started chiming in with comments suggesting something might be wrong.”
Doctors speculated that she may have Cushing syndrome, which could be caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This led Amy to recall her own history of receiving steroid injections for scars from a breast reduction and C-section. “I had been getting these steroid injections,” she said, “and it turns out this condition I developed is called Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known about if the internet hadn’t given me such a hard time.”
Now, Amy is relieved to know that she is healthy and the type of Cushing syndrome she has will resolve itself. As she wrote in her February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Learning that I have a self-correcting form of Cushing syndrome and that I’m perfectly fine was the best news I could have hoped for.
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a terrifying ordeal while having breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. She began exhibiting symptoms similar to a stroke, such as difficulty speaking and facial drooping. Sharing her experience a month later on YouTube, she recalled Justin asking if she was alright, but she couldn’t respond due to her uncertainty. When she tried to speak, she found she could not.
Hailey was rushed to the hospital where they discovered a small blood clot in her brain, classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further examination revealed that Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled into her heart through this hole and escaped to her brain, causing the TIA.
After undergoing a successful PFO closure procedure, Hailey reported feeling much better.
In the same year that Hailey went through her health crisis, Justin also faced a similar health issue. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin Bieber revealed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary facial paralysis and forced him to terminate the rest of his Justice World Tour. In an Instagram video at the time, he explained that this virus affected the nerve in his ear and his facial nerves, causing partial paralysis on one side of his face. As visible in the video, his eye wouldn’t blink, he couldn’t smile on that side, and one nostril didn’t move. The paralysis made eating difficult for him initially but eventually subsided. Hailey shared during a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin was doing well and had recovered, expressing relief that he was fine despite the frightening and unpredictable nature of his health issue.
Initially, Jamie Foxx chose not to disclose much about his hospitalization in April 2023. However, during his 2024 Netflix special titled “What Had Happened Was…”, he shared the ordeal he experienced. One day in Atlanta, he complained of a severe headache and asked for an aspirin. Unfortunately, before he could take it, he fainted. He recounted that he was unconscious for 20 days.
Upon visiting a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, his sister Deidra Dixon grew concerned and took him to another hospital. There, doctors discovered that he had suffered a brain bleed leading to a stroke. After a 20-day stay in the hospital, Foxx woke up on May 4, confined to a wheelchair and unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“I just want to express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “as I truly needed each one of them.
Actress Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” in 2019. In the piece, she described a severe headache at the gym that escalated into vomiting and worsening pain, which she suspected was damage to her brain.
Rushed to the hospital for a scan, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening type of stroke called subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), caused by bleeding around the brain due to an aneurysm, or arterial rupture. She underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, describing the pain as unbearable.
During her recovery, she experienced aphasia and found herself muttering nonsensical words. A week later, the aphasia passed, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, in 2013, during another brain scan, it was discovered that the growth had doubled in size, requiring additional surgery.
Upon waking from this procedure, she was in severe pain as the operation had failed. Doctors informed her that her chances of survival were precarious and needed to perform another operation, this time through her skull. Fortunately, Emilia is now reportedly fully recovered.
Cori Broadus, daughter of famous rapper Snoop Dogg, expressed her gratitude towards her family following a severe stroke she experienced in January 2024. After informing them about the incident via text and a picture, they quickly rushed to be by her side.
“I texted them that I just had a stroke and sent them a picture,” Cori told TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. “Everyone just came to my rescue.”
Due to other health issues, Cori’s hospital stay lasted longer than anticipated. “I could have gone home after my stroke, but my lupus wasn’t doing so well,” she continued in her interview. “My kidneys were failing. It was a lot going on.”
Today, Cori is recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she added. “I just had to work on some motor skills, but other than that, I was fine.
During her twenties, the health challenges for actress Shailene Woodley were numerous and persistent. She recounted on the September 2024 episode of the SHE MD Podcast that her hearing began to fade, she could barely walk without needing long periods of rest, and everything she ate caused pain in her stomach. Despite visiting multiple doctors, she was given conflicting diagnoses and treatments.
Due to her background in holistic medicine and herbalism, Shailene decided to seek a combination of traditional and alternative healing methods. She worked with both medical doctors and independent healers in an attempt to find relief. This quest for answers lasted over a decade.
Throughout this prolonged journey, Shailene experienced a range of additional difficulties stemming from her physical discomfort. “If everything I ate hurt my stomach, I became afraid of food,” she explained. “This fear led to mental struggles such as body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity and uncertainty regarding what it meant to feel safe in my own skin.”
After addressing both her physical and mental health concerns, Shailene is now much improved. She proudly declared, “My journey ultimately resolved itself physically, and I am very healthy today.
