Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s latest date night will leave you blown away.
The pair, who got married in 2010, attended the event “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” in Nashville on March 19, which was their first joint appearance on a red carpet in more than two years.
At the outing, Carrie, aged 42, shone splendidly in a black dress embellished with gold trimmings, accessorizing it further with striking black drop earrings. On the other hand, Mike, also 44, harmonized beautifully with his wife by wearing a tailored dark suit and tie of the same shade.
Before their special evening out, the duo strolled down the red carpet in sync at the CMA Awards held in November 2022. Notably, Carrie was up for three awards during that event.
Even though Mike rarely makes public appearances, the retired NHL player – who is married to Carrie and has two sons, Isaiah (age 10) and Jacob (age 6) with her – has always been her biggest supporter. In fact, back in 2018, he publicly acknowledged and celebrated her achievements with a touching tribute.
At the time, Mike posted on Instagram praising you: ‘God has blessed you with an exceptional voice, tireless dedication, and a platform you’ve never taken for granted.’ He admires how humble you’ve remained in your success, never seeking attention or fame. Despite achieving stardom, you’ve always remained the down-to-earth girl from Oklahoma.
Additionally, Carrie expressed the same encouraging feeling. During the year 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was ongoing, the judge on American Idol recounted a story that highlighted how staying in quarantine strengthened their unbreakable relationship.
She recounted in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment that he had said, “You know what? I appreciate you.” To which she responded, “What does that mean? You appreciate me?” He clarified, “I realize now that I love you – we’ve been married for a decade and share two children together, but this experience has shown me that I appreciate you as well.
