Cassie Ventura Breaks Silence and Finds Peace After Diddy’s Abuse Scandal

In her recent Instagram posts, the expectant artist titled a series of mirror selfies taken in the bathroom, alluding to the anticipation of welcoming her third child, who is on the way with her spouse, Alex Fine.

Maintaining her personal balance is crucial at this time, as her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, stands trial for alleged crimes in Manhattan. The 55-year-old has pleaded not guilty to accusations of human trafficking, facilitating prostitution, and conspiring in racketeering.

In our report, it’s mentioned that Cassie, who was captured in New York on May 7th, is listed as one of four possible witnesses by the prosecution. As per CNN, she is the only one who intends to take the stand using her real name. So far, our attempts to contact a representative and attorney for Cassie have been unanswered.

In simple terms, the lawsuit she initiated against her ex-partner in November 2023, where she claimed sexual assault and other abuses throughout their ten-year relationship, marked the initial legal domino that toppled, leading to a swift surge of civil lawsuits and subsequent criminal charges directed towards the influential figure in the Bad Boy Entertainment industry.

In line with the accusations against Combs, the specifics of her grievance mirrored the actions he was charged with inflicting upon the individual referred to as “Victim-1” in the federal criminal indictment issued back in September 2024.

As a devoted follower, I find myself in a precarious position, facing potential lifelong incarceration should I be found guilty of the racketeering conspiracy charge for which I’ve been detained without bail since my apprehension in September. This grave accusation carries with it the possibility of a life sentence.

On November 17, 2023, a settlement was announced for Cassie’s lawsuit; this came the day after she had filed it. Speaking to NBC News, she said, “I have chosen to resolve this disagreement peacefully, with terms that I can oversee.” Following her shocking claims of rape, beatings, and being coerced into sexual acts with male sex workers, numerous other accusers of Combs came forward with civil complaints.

In light of the impending expiry of New York’s Adult Survivors Act, Cassie saw this as the right moment to share her experiences of the trauma she has endured and will continue to deal with throughout her life. She expressed this in an interview with the New York Times.

Combs strongly asserts his innocence in both criminal and civil cases, insisting that all sexual encounters were consensual. His lawyer, Ben Brafman, stated in 2023 that Cassie’s lawsuit contained unfounded and shocking falsehoods.

However, Combs confessed to “unforgivable” actions in May 2024 following the publication of a distressing video by CNN, which was hotel security footage from 2016. This video seemed to depict him pushing and kicking Cassie in a corridor, an incident that her lawsuit claimed had occurred. The video appeared to bring the alleged event to light.

In another video, Combs admitted, “I acknowledge fully the actions I displayed in the video are mine. I felt ashamed when I did it, and I feel ashamed now.

The aforementioned tape was the subject of intense legal debates prior to the commencement of jury selection on May 5, as the defense sought its exclusion from the case’s evidence.

In a motion filed in November 2024, Combs’ legal team claimed that CNN had modified, tampered with, accelerated, and cut the footage. This, they argued, meant the video did not present an authentic portrayal of the occurrences. However, CNN has firmly refuted any allegations of manipulating the video content.

On April 25th, Judge Arun Subramanian decided that the video could be played during the trial, finding it to be a truthful and accurate portrayal of the interaction between the defendant and Cassie.

In her initial response following the publication of the hotel video, Cassie expressed gratitude towards her family, friends, and even total strangers for their unwavering support.

She declared on her Instagram post on May 23, 2024, “An abundance of affection has given me a refuge where my younger self can rest peacefully and securely. However, this is merely the start,” she stated. “Domestic abuse, a pressing concern, shattered me into someone I never wished to be. Through immense effort, I have improved significantly, but I will forever be healing from my past.

Meanwhile, Cassie remains on her healing journey.

Last year on Instagram (using the username Casandra Fine), she celebrated Father’s Day as the mother of daughters Frankie, who is 6, and Sunny, who is 4. After taking a prolonged break from social media, she announced in February that she was pregnant, emphasizing the post with a blue heart.

On Alex’s 32nd birthday in March, she expressed her feelings about her model-actor spouse of five years by saying, “I can’t find the right words to express how thankful I am to share this journey with you! It wasn’t hidden that she and Combs, who signed her to his Bad Boy Records in 2006, had a stormy relationship. After their split in 2018 for good, Cassie spoke about how restrictive their partnership was for her career and artistic growth.

She commented, “I aspire to help her grasp the broader perspective of life, showing her that it’s not necessary to be defined by a single role in this world. I want her to realize she has choices. My music serves as a piece of the legacy I intend to pass on – a legacy meant to motivate her and other women.

Since her self-titled debut album in 2006, she hasn’t put out another full-length record yet, but she has been busy creating her own songs like “Excuses” and “Don’t Let Go,” released in 2019. Additionally, she has worked on collaborations with artists such as Solange on “Way to the Show” and Black Coffee on “Time.” Furthermore, she has also pursued acting and modeling opportunities, including for SKIMS in 2022.

Cassie shared with Page Six that she was thrilled beyond words when asked to join [it], and barely gave it a second thought before agreeing. She’s also reached a point where she cherishes her body, acknowledging all the incredible things it has accomplished not just for herself, but for her family as well, and is proud of it for what it is.

Regarding her future studio work, she shared with DScene Magazine at the end of 2022 that she’s been exploring what comes next for her. She’s been delving into unfamiliar music and discovering new voices and sounds that truly resonate with her.

Regarding her professional aspirations, she stated, “I intend to keep producing and not overthink, simply moving forward. My fields of interest include music, acting, cosmetics, and skincare. I’m deeply passionate about music and its power to touch and transform people. It’s a privilege to encounter new individuals daily who have been touched by my music. I strive to share with the world creations that bring joy.

But she acknowledged that becoming a mom had “changed everything in the greatest way.”

Cassie expressed, “It was a humbling experience, it made me more selfless, and it encouraged me to prioritize myself even more,” she said. Originally, I had concerns that I wasn’t healed enough before they arrived, but they are my healing. I appreciate my journey, yet nothing surpasses the joy of being Frankie and Sunny’s mother.
