This summer, the additional content for “Castle Crashers” titled “Painter Boss Paradise” will be available for download on PC through Steam, as confirmed by the game’s developers, The Behemoth.
16 years later, when it was time to add some fresh updates to “Castle Crashers”, The Behemoth co-founder and art director Dan Paladin began by sketching new knights, as stated in a press release. This process went smoothly, and he thought, ‘Why not let everyone have this creative freedom?’ And with that, the Painter Boss presented us with an ideal chance to dive into creation. The demand for new characters has been high – this update now allows the entire community to contribute more content than we could ever produce ourselves!

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about the upcoming DLC that takes inspiration from the legendary Painter Boss in the game. This additional content will allow me to personalize my character with unique abilities, thanks to the Steam Workshop. Plus, it promises to refresh the visuals of all official characters, weapons, and even the game map with stunning new artwork.
Instead of spending nearly 17 years on castle demolitions, The Behemoth aims to revitalize the game experience by offering players endless opportunities to design unique custom characters via the Steam Workshop.
