Casualty Star Richard Winsor Joins Coronation Street with Dark Connection to Theo’s Past

Richard Winsor is coming back to Coronation Street with a rough edge, playing a role in a fresh plot that involves Todd and Billy.

Winsor, a familiar face from his work on Casualty, is expected to make an appearance on the soap opera, portraying the character of Noah Hedley. The arrival of this character has been hinted at in previews for forthcoming episodes.

Next week’s preview hints at an unsettling event during Julie’s memorial service. This occurs as a man named Noah unexpectedly walks into the pub and gives a nod to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

When Theo Silverton (Theo James Cartwright) notices something, he quickly steps outside and informs Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that Noah was involved when Theo underwent conversion therapy.

From 2014 to 2017, Winsor portrayed the cherished character Caleb ‘Cal’ Knight on Casualty. His character met a tragic end when he was cruelly taken in emotionally wrenching sequences while attempting to safeguard his brother Ethan (played by George Rainsford).

In other dramas, Winsor hasn’t made his debut on Coronation Street alone. Previously, he played the role of Father Francis on Hollyoaks, where he was involved in a romantic entanglement with Carmel McQueen, portrayed by Gemma Merna.

In the forthcoming episodes, we can expect further insights into Theo and Noah’s history to unfold. Notably, Theo reappeared on the cobbles in March and began a romance with Todd.

Regarding his upcoming role, Cartwright stated that “Theo appears to be a well-meaning individual, entering with positive intentions like many others. However, his actions might ruffle some feathers among those around him.
