It’s not too shocking that the studio is planning to produce a sixth Hunger Games film given that the first five have grossed over $3.3 billion at the box office as mentioned in a recent press release from Lionsgate.
The appeal of these movies lies in their star-studded cast, which includes heavyweights like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Donald Sutherland in the first four films: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay part one and part two. For the fifth film, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Viola Davis, and Hunter Schafer joined the franchise.
Several well-known actors have also pledged to participate in Sunrise on the Reaping, such as Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Maya Hawke, Jesse Plemons, Mckenna Grace, Whitney Peak, and Joseph Zada.
