Therefore, it was quite intriguing when director Michael Gracey met with the studios regarding his Robbie Williams biopic, ‘Better Man’, and was asked who he envisioned playing the Robster. His surprising response? A monkey! While this response might have initially caused a stir, it showcases Gracey’s innovative creativity, having previously brought us ‘The Greatest Showman’. With his background in visual effects, actor Jonno Davies will put on the mo-cap suit, pass through the computers, and emerge as a singing monkey taking center stage in the film.
It’s safe to say that Paramount Studios was taken aback when their movie, Sonic the Hedgehog, turned out to be the third highest-grossing Hollywood film in 2020. Upon closer examination, it becomes clear that this success can be attributed to the fact that it was released just as the world went into lockdown, which significantly boosted its earnings to a staggering $319 million. Unsurprisingly, given its financial success, a sequel was produced, earning over $400 million, leading directly to Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
