President-Elect Donald Trump Sentenced, Officially a Convicted Felon

In New York State, the court case involving the 78-year-old’s hush money ended on January 10th. Judge Juan Merchan handed down a sentence of unconditional discharge for this particular case, which was the only one among his four criminal cases that went to trial (two were dismissed). This means the President will technically remain a felon but won’t serve any jail time, penalties, or probation. The verdict came 10 days before the inauguration of the President.
