Luckily, you can minimize this issue by assembling a selection of useful items, also known as a prepared kit, for each hunting expedition. Regardless if you’re venturing out alone or with others, these essentials will prove beneficial, and it would be unwise to depart from the camp without them.

Apart from the fact that the massive creatures are indeed quite large and have a presence on the map, it’s worth noting that the typical wildlife isn’t. These small critters can be found almost anywhere on the map if you know how to spot them. One of the initial creatures you’ll be asked to locate is the elusive Tracktail Lizard. So let’s embark on a journey to uncover their hiding spots.

In the Oilwell Basin area of Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll eventually encounter Azus Village in chapter 3. As your adventure unfolds, you’ll face the top predator of this region, known as The Black Flame. But here’s the twist – the game won’t guide you to this beast with a path or marker. Instead, it’s up to you to track down and conquer The Black Flame if you wish to advance in the story.

As a gamer, I’ve often found myself on an exhausting quest, hopping from one corner to another, wasting countless hours in the hunt for that elusive treasure. Little did I know, the very thing I sought had been lurking right beneath my nose all along. It’s no wonder it’s considered one of the hardest to spot – unlike other inhabitants, it doesn’t dance or float about. Instead, it blends so seamlessly with its surroundings that even a seasoned Hunter like myself could overlook it for ages. It wasn’t until my fellow comrades pointed it out that I finally laid eyes on it, and let me tell you, the satisfaction of finding it was worth every moment of frustration!

Monster Hunter Wilds has introduced a novel method for temporary camps with their Pop-up Camp feature. Essentially, these are compact bases where you can perform essential tasks, but they won’t host any unique NPCs aside from Alma and your Palico. The number of available Pop-up Camps varies per region, although you can only set up a limited amount of them.
