In simpler terms, Samin’s Research Task is an optional mission found at Samin’s tent within Windward Plains’ main camp. To finish this task, you must catch a Sandstar, which can be challenging but proper preparation will significantly ease the process. Successfully capturing the Sandstar rewards you with the “I Caught a Shooting Star!” trophy or achievement.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, you have two options for establishing a Pop-up Camp:
1. Utilize your Camping Kit directly at the campsite.
2. Speak with the Pop-up Camp Meowster at any Base Camp to have them construct one for you.
Instead of constantly engaging in battles with monsters, designing an optimal Light Bowgun setup, or scavenging for materials to enhance your gear, it’s also rewarding to take on minor quests occasionally. These side missions offer opportunities to earn extra cash or discover the intricate details of smaller creatures in Monster Hunter World.

As a gamer, after sinking about 56 hours into this game, I must admit I’m left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the overall experience. I won’t delve too much into the time it took to conquer Low Rank, the so-called “story” section of the game, or High Rank, where they promise things get intense. But let me tell you, it wasn’t even close to the investment needed in World. I had hoped the endgame would make up for this and offer a variety of tough battles, particularly the Tempered Monsters. However, that dream was short-lived. Don’t get me wrong; there are some challenging endgame monsters, but as my review mentioned, I found only two or three truly exceptional ones.
During the initial public trial of Monster Hunter Wilds, developers gathered significant data and carefully considered player input. A large portion of the modifications made to the final release version were directly influenced by this beta test feedback. From reintroducing beloved skills to creating innovative mechanics, Monster Hunter players now have a daring new path to explore.
