Monster Hunter Wilds offers two ways to change your character and Palico’s appearance:

Extra features aren’t essential, but they’re not like cosmetic items, discount coupons, or emotes that significantly improve gameplay in such a vast and complex game. Still, I can’t help but feel let down given the number of subpar DLCs included in a $70 AAA title from Capcom.

Currently on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds boasts an impressive simultaneous player base of 1,238,138 (as per SteamDB at the time of writing). Launched on February 28, 2025, this game is playable on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Although we don’t have console player data yet, the high number of players on PC suggests a highly successful debut for Capcom’s new release.
