Among many Star Wars enthusiasts, it’s widely agreed that Vader’s death was essential for Anakin’s redemption and the ultimate downfall of the Emperor. His self-sacrifice represented the pinnacle of penitence and love. However, fans are questioning what might have happened if Anakin had lived: would he face trials for war crimes? Could he ever find complete forgiveness? And what part, if any, would he have played in a galaxy aiming to rebuild following decades of oppressive rule he significantly contributed to?

It’s possible that because many superhero films originate from comic books, they frequently carry immense franchise possibilities. Bold characters in these films often appear primed for additional escapades long after the closing credits, but unfortunately, several underappreciated superhero movies were denied the opportunity to continue their stories. In the fifth season of The Boys on Prime Video, though a direct confrontation like that between Butcher and Black Noir may not occur as it does in the comics, there’s still a possibility of a similar climactic scene unfolding before the series concludes. Instead, we might witness Butcher defeating Homelander, not Black Noir, on the White House lawn – a location where Butcher ended Black Noir in the original storyline.
