As a diehard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement! The wait is almost over as Doctor Doom steps onto the scene in “Avengers: Doomsday,” and Magneto seems poised to make an appearance in Jake Schreier’s X-Men reboot that’s currently brewing. Yet, they’ll have their work cut out for them, as another formidable villain, Galactus, gears up to menace Earth when “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” hits theaters later this month.

Titled “Bâan – Exploring the Realms of Maturity”, this series offers a unique take on the isekai genre. Instead of the traditional formula (a hapless character dies, usually in a traffic accident, and finds themselves in a mystical land with extraordinary abilities and an all-female squad, while the antagonist is a seductive dark sorceress), this series integrates travel to other worlds within its narrative structure. The recently released trailer, premiered on Gigguk’s YouTube channel, provides further insights.

In the comic series, titled “Captain America” #1, penned by Chip Zdarsky, Valerio Schiti, Frank Martin, and lettered by VC’s Joe Caramagna, the narrative revolves around Steve Rogers and a determined young boy named David Colton. The story begins with David witnessing the 9/11 terrorist attack that led to the collapse of the Twin Towers, an event that stirs within him a desire to serve in the military. Despite his health issues such as asthma and poor vision, and his scrawny build, David remains resolute in his pursuit. His determination catches the attention of someone in authority, granting him a chance to try out for the forces, much like how Steve Rogers was given an opportunity before he was enhanced by the super-soldier serum.

According to industry insider and YouTuber Detective Seeds, who has provided accurate information in the past though his reliability can be inconsistent, the current version of the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology in the upcoming PS5 Pro is reportedly three generations behind the cutting-edge tech Sony is developing with AMD as part of Project Amethyst. This project was announced in 2024 and focuses on next-generation enhanced hardware. To clarify, PSSR is proprietary technology that uses AI to upscale lower resolutions to 4K. However, it appears that this technology may soon become outdated due to its rapid advancement and occasional inefficiency within the PS5 Pro.

The MAPPA executives shared that while they’re deeply fond of both “Attack on Titan: Before The Fall” and “Attack on School Castes,” they feel the ending of “Attack on Titan” was conclusive. They’ve done their best with the show, but if there’s ever a chance for fans to encourage them to work on these projects and if the author creates new material, they would certainly consider it. However, they find the existing ending so satisfying that they wouldn’t want to create something new just for the sake of it.
