On Tuesday, DC Studios co-head James Gunn took to social media to announce this Batman spinoff, describing it as a unique blend of animation, puppetry, and CGI. The project is being backed by 6th & Idaho, the production banner from Matt Reeves (The Batman) and Warner Bros. Animation in collaboration with Swaybox, an animation studio based in New Orleans.

A sneak peek at “The Electric State” has been shared online by the Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony Russo), who will be in charge of directing this upcoming movie.
