Prince of Persia Celebrates One Year Despite Studio’s Demise

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share some news about my beloved game, Prince of Persia. Although Ubisoft Montpellier, the team behind its creation, was disbanded in October, it wasn’t a layoff situation. Instead, the team members were reassigned to other projects, which is great news!

With this restructuring, the possibility of seeing Prince of Persia return in the Metroidvania format has significantly increased – at least for the foreseeable future. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s certainly looking promising!

On a brighter note, Ubisoft is still working on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, which is scheduled to be released in 2026. So, even though the team might have changed, we can still look forward to a new Prince of Persia adventure in the coming years!

One-Third of AAA Developers Are Working on Live-Service Games – GDC

As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but notice the rollercoaster ride that is the live-service market. It seems that only a select few games are able to amass a substantial player base, thereby ensuring their financial viability. Unfortunately, many live-service titles find themselves struggling shortly after launch, much like the fate of the game Concord. On the other hand, some projects, such as The Last of Us Online, never even see the light of day due to being cancelled altogether.

Resident Evil 2 on iOS Has Reportedly Only Made $100,000

As a gamer myself, I’ve been keeping an eye on the sales of this fantastic game I’ve been playing since it launched on iOS back on December 10th. The data shows that approximately 9,500 players, including yours truly, have purchased the title for our Apple devices. Initially, the game was priced at a steal for $10 with a discount during its launch month. However, in the time since then, the price has been bumped up to $40, raking in an additional $7,000 for Capcom.

Detective Comics #1093 Review: Batman’s World Is a Vampire

The concept known as “Mercy of the Father” follows the ripples caused by Dr. Thomas Wayne’s act of mercy towards Joe Chill. This is a significant event in the Batman origin story, where readers appreciate the dramatic irony when they learn that it was Dr. Wayne who saved the life of the man who would later murder both him and his wife, Martha, in front of their son, Bruce. However, this chain of events doesn’t stop there. At the moment Dr. Wayne intervened, Chill also had a pregnant teenage girlfriend. Martha Wayne helped her escape before their tragic deaths. Fast forward to present day, and Chill’s daughter, Scarlett Martha Scott, has reappeared in Bruce Wayne’s life and is now a suspect in Batman’s current investigation.

New My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Trailer Shows Off New Prequel Anime

In April of 2025, “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” is set to premiere as part of the Spring anime lineup. This spin-off series is based on the official prequel to the original “My Hero Academia,” and it takes place years before the main storyline. The show focuses on a group of characters who join the hero profession through less legitimate methods, since at that time, the hero association had not yet expanded to their small town.
