Unlike a survival game controlled by the upper echelons of society, this live-action adaptation derived from an anime follows an enigmatic entity transporting competitors to a deserted Japan, where it seems there are no longer any residents. The original manga concluded in 2021 with the sequel series Alice in Borderland: Retry, which is expected to unfold as the storyline for the third and presumably final season of the show.
