As anticipated, Astro Bot was a big winner in various categories at this year’s PlayStation Blog awards. Notably, it was crowned as the Best PS5 Game, outshining other strong contenders. These victories follow its near-perfect sweep at The Game Awards 2024, where it triumphed in four out of seven nominated categories, including the coveted Game of the Year award.

The disappointing opening weekend performance of “Kraven the Hunter” has signaled the demise for Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and its films centered around lesser-known characters from the Spider-Man universe, such as Madame Web and Venom. Only Venom 3 managed to make money ($475.5 million on a budget of $110 million), but even that success was overshadowed by the fact that the third installment saw a nearly 50% drop in earnings compared to the first film’s $856 million. The writing is clear: mainstream audiences aren’t interested in Spider-Man movies without the presence of Spider-Man.

Adaptations of well-known anime into stage plays are proving to be lucrative ventures. For instance, last October in New York, Attack on Titan was transformed into a musical and ran for two days. Meanwhile, the stage version of Spirited Away has been a resounding success and will continue its global tour up until 2025. Moreover, even the popular anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, has joined this trend. The stage adaptation of Demon Slayer debuted in 2020 and is now preparing to visit the Swordsmith Village, with fans eagerly anticipating updates for its final arc adaptation.

In a twist of unfortunate events, it’s software glitches that have surfaced after Bethesda and MachineGames unveiled the second update for their latest release, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle“. Just a few days into the new month, this action-adventure game is back with more solutions to address the issues reported by players and critics alike. The game has been making waves in the gaming world due to its unique authenticity and visually stunning graphics, which have earned it widespread praise from both gamers and critics. Currently available on Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game will make its debut on PlayStation 5 next year.

In the spotlight for Final Fantasy 16, Clive Rosfield, has been announced as the initial guest character within Tekken 8, marking the conclusion of the game’s inaugural season pass.
