As suggested by Spanish leaker Vandal, this upcoming project, inspired by Super Smash Bros., is expected to be officially unveiled during tonight’s State of Play broadcast. There are rumors that it will be available on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Set for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC in November 2022, the upcoming title Control 2 serves as a follow-up to the developer’s highly praised supernatural action adventure game. While the specifics about its narrative and characters remain undisclosed, Remedy has revealed that it will be an Action Role-Playing Game (RPG). Additionally, it’s been disclosed that the production budget for this project is €50 million, with Annapurna Pictures contributing half of that amount.

Alan Wake 2 Sells Over 2 Million Units, Recoups Development and Marketing Costs

The project has managed to cover all its development and marketing expenses (initially spent) – a better situation than in August 2024 when it only recovered “most” of these costs. In total, Remedy’s revenue for this quarter increased by 13.1%, amounting to €11.7 million, which is an improvement from the €10.3 million earned during the same period last year.
