Initially, when Universal Pictures declared the fourth film in the Jurassic World series, it was clear that production would move swiftly. The news about the movie surfaced at the start of this year, and a 2025 release date was set without any director or cast members confirmed. Later in February, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards was appointed to oversee the project. After an extensive casting process and a production kick-off this summer, filming for Jurassic World Rebirth has now been completed less than a year before its scheduled release date on July 2, 2025.
