In this scenario, the narrative focuses on Diana and main character Hugh Williams joining forces to find an exit from a shattered lunar base following a moonquake that isolates Williams from his fellow crew members. When faced with hostile situations, Diana employs her skills to infiltrate enemy robots, causing them to temporarily malfunction and reveal vulnerable areas. In turn, Hugh capitalizes on these weak points by eliminating the enemies with his firepower.
Although the gameplay of this side-scrolling action game may appear rather conventional at first glance, SWERY reveals an intriguing twist: the game incorporates distinctive death mechanics. These mechanics serve not only to help players progress by leveling up and growing stronger, but also enable them to team up with their past incarnations during battles.
