Mortal Kombat 2 MPA Rating Revealed

The upcoming “Mortal Kombat 2” movie is yet 11 months from its theatrical debut, but it has already received an MPA rating. Predictably, it’s been given an “R” rating for reasons such as intense graphic violence and strong language. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, the original film also earned an “R” rating, though it didn’t mention gore before. It seems that this sequel might intensify the gore aspect, potentially allowing the creators to align more closely with the violent nature of the video game origin.
