Superman: James Gunn Debunks Hilarious New Rumor
Approaching the eleven-month mark until the release of James Gunn’s highly anticipated Superman film, which will serve as the launchpad for his and Peter Safran’s fresh take on the DC Universe. Despite numerous uncertainties surrounding the Superman project following its completion this summer, a particularly intriguing theory may have been laid to rest. On a recent episode of Threads, Gunn dismissed a report from Puck News regarding a potential video game based on Matt Reeves’ Batman series, while also addressing a new rumor about Superman. Specifically, the speculation hints at the possibility that Chumbawamba’s 1997 hit “Tubthumping” was played during the filming of Superman. Although Gunn didn’t explicitly confirm that “Tubthumping” won’t be featured in Superman’s soundtrack, he did clarify that the song was not played on set during production.
