Many legendary game developers are facing a critical moment right now. These studios were once known for amazing stories, groundbreaking ideas, and strong communities. However, recent issues – like uninspired games, technical glitches, or poor leadership – have damaged their reputations, something many thought would never happen. Their next game will be a defining moment, potentially saving or destroying their legacy.

In the first Creed film, Rocky trains the son of his former rival, Apollo Creed, while also facing his own challenges. Steven Soderbergh isn’t the only director who’s had a Star Wars project fall through. It’s happened to others, and the recent news about him has brought another name to light: David Fincher. Lucasfilm reportedly considered Fincher to direct Episode VII. While early reports suggested Fincher, like Soderbergh, was interested in a film after The Rise of Skywalker, a different story is now circulating.
Prime Video is adding a bunch of well-known movies to its selection at the beginning of November. On November 1st, you’ll be able to stream titles like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Child’s Play, Miracle on 34th Street, A Beautiful Mind, Vertigo, and Uncle Buck.
A now-famous tradition started with Season 2 of The Simpsons: the yearly “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween episode. Since the show’s first season began airing so late in the year, it missed the chance to celebrate Halloween. But when the series moved to a regular fall schedule, it kicked off this tradition with the first “Treehouse of Horror” episode on October 25, 1990. Introduced by Marge, the episode took inspiration from EC Comics and was presented as spooky stories told by Lisa and Bart in their treehouse. It established the three-segment format still used today, with stories like “Bad Dream House,” “Hungry be the Damned,” and “The Raven.”
Microsoft typically doesn’t announce how long games stay on its Xbox and PC subscription service. However, since one of the newly added games is published by Xbox Game Studios, it’s likely to be available indefinitely. The other four games won’t have the same permanent availability.
Originally released for PS4 in 2021, it’s a bit strange that Death Stranding is only now receiving a visual upgrade for the PS5 Pro, a year after the console launched. But players who experience the game on PS5 Pro in 2025 will be able to enjoy these improvements.
