The character of Blade has certainly seen his fair share of turmoil, and this is equally applicable to the process of rebooting the film for Marvel Studios. The movie has faced numerous postponements and undergone several script revisions, with Marvel’s Kevin Feige acknowledging that he feels more optimistic about the latest draft. As we move closer to the 2025 release date, there’s growing hope that the project might indeed avoid any delays. With this in mind, it’s an intriguing thought to transform the film into a horror-influenced team-up. Could The Midnight Sons be on the horizon?

The traditional state of the DC Universe is about to undergo significant changes with James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios orchestrating numerous films and TV shows. The initial live-action series set to join this lineup is “Lanterns,” a Green Lantern series helmed by Chris Mundy (known for “Ozark” and “True Detective: Night Country”). This series will be jointly written by Mundy, Damon Lindelof (famous for “Watchmen” and “The Leftovers”), and comic writer Tom King. On Wednesday, Lindelof shared a photo on Instagram from his first San Diego Comic-Con for the pilot episode of “Lost,” where he was sporting a Green Lantern t-shirt. In the caption, he humorously mentions that Gunn and DC have provided him with a time machine to go back in time and promote his current work on “Lanterns.”

As a longtime enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as it seems that the long-awaited live-action reboot of the iconic series, Voltron, has been officially given the green light! This legendary show initially burst onto our screens in the 1980s, and it was a masterful adaptation of the Beast King GoLion anime for American viewers. The franchise has enjoyed an impressive run with over 100 episodes, and since then, it has spawned numerous reboots, sequels, and reinventions throughout the years.

There was a lot of debate regarding AEW’s decision to air the footage of the altercation at All In between CM Punk and Jack Perry earlier this year, but one person who hadn’t weighed in on the footage being revealed is CM Punk. The footage did get a reaction after its reveal, though it also pretty much verified Punk’s earlier description of what took place. In an interview with Jimmy Traina’s SI Media podcast, Punk was asked how he felt about AEW showing the footage, and while Punk did feel a way about it, he ultimately didn’t really see the point, as there was nothing gained for AEW by showing it and no effect on him after it was shown. He did feel that being a top draw in two companies was pretty wild though (via Public Enemies Podcast).

Collectors have been eagerly anticipating the chance to invest in Marvel Cinematic Universe merchandise, and this week has offered something truly unusual. The announcement at MCU Hall H that Robert Downey Jr. will play Victor Von Doom has sent collectors scrambling to acquire anything connected to both characters. It’s worth noting that the exact words used were that RDJ would portray Victor Von Doom, not Tony Stark as Dr. Doom or even mentioning the name Dr. Doom. Despite this, the comic community finds it hard to separate Downey from Iron Man, leading to a frenzy of speculation about around 16 comics and their variants. These books aren’t cheap – many are commanding all-time high prices, with some jumping from just $1 to over $100! It remains unclear what the end game is for these comic releases, as Feige and his team likely have a larger plan in mind that won’t be revealed until closer to the film’s release. Some of these books may increase in value down the line, but many will not.
