Prepare to step into another world of dark cosmic landscapes. On Tuesday, the latest trailer for “Slingshot” was unveiled by Bleecker Street, before its scheduled release in late August. The film features Casey Affleck (“Manchester by the Sea”, “A Ghost Story”), Laurence Fishburne (“The Matrix” series, “John Wick” series), Emily Beecham (“Daphne”, “Little Joe”), Tomer Capone (“The Boys”, “One Week and a Day”), and David Morrissey (“The Walking Dead”). In this sci-fi thriller, an astronaut grapples with losing his sanity, adding a challenging layer to the mission he is involved in.

In the run-up to the Season 2 finale of “House of the Dragon”, HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery are once more grappling with significant leaks online. In simple terms, Anne Rice’s “Mayfair Witches” has expanded its Season 2 lineup. Through their official social media platforms for the Immortal Universe (including “Mayfair Witches” and “Interview With the Vampire”), AMC announced that Callan McAuliffe (“The Walking Dead”), Franka Potente (“Run Lola Run”), and Ian Pirie (“Halo”) have joined the cast of the show. The second season of “Mayfair Witches” is expected to air in 2025.

Following a highly successful debut season, the popular CBS series “Tracker” is set to return for additional episodes. Starring actor Justin Hartley, who has captivated audiences playing Kevin Pearson on “This Is Us” and Oliver Queen / Green Arrow on “Smallville”, the show’s talented cast will continue to shine. While speaking at ComicBook during San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Justin Hartley mentioned it would be “delightful” to work with any of his “Smallville” co-stars on the show. Notably, Jensen Ackles, who will appear in Season 2 as Russell Shaw, has previously acted on “Smallville”, although not during Hartley’s tenure.

Later this year, American Dad returns for Season 21 on TBS, marking it as the last scripted series produced by the network.
