Titled “Kraven the Hunter,” this upcoming film features Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the lead role, marking another addition to Sony’s Spider-Man universe. However, this franchise has had its ups and downs when it comes to connecting with audiences, as evidenced by the mixed success of movies like “Venom” versus the disappointing performances of “Morbius” and “Madame Web.” With these two films underperforming significantly and damaging audience trust in Sony’s ability to deliver a satisfying cinematic experience based solely on Spider-Man villains with no sign of the Web Crawler, there is certainly pressure on “Kraven” to break the curse. The film’s director, J.C. Chandor, is optimistic that his movie can do just that. In an exclusive conversation with ComicBook, Chandor discussed how “Kraven the Hunter” adheres to comic book lore and shared his enthusiasm for bringing his faithful interpretation of the title character to life for fans.
