The latest showcase for *STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions* understandably focused on the game’s multiplayer features, as you’d expect from a game built around playing with others. The showcase also included creative director Adam Bromell sharing details about the upcoming game, and a sneak peek at the new content coming to *Astroneer* in the *Megatech* DLC.

As a gamer, I’m seriously excited about the Player’s Choice promotion! It’s huge – they’re offering almost 5,000 different games, and it’s all happening right now until October 22nd.

Director Brandon Adler explained that this area is one of the largest in the sci-fi RPG, although the other zones are comparable in size. The team really focused on making this particular zone, Paradise Island, as detailed and expansive as possible. They studied other games to get the pacing and layout of points of interest just right, resulting in a substantial and content-rich experience.

To achieve the ‘Ultra’ setting in *Battlefield 6* – meaning 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with all settings maxed out, or 1440p at 144 FPS with medium settings – you won’t need to use image upscaling technologies like DLSS or FSR. The game will run at its native resolution if you have either an Intel Core i9-12900k or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card, and 16GB of RAM.

There’s been some confusion about Microsoft’s pricing, but they’ve confirmed to The Verge that customers in Germany, South Korea, Ireland, Poland, and India who have automatic renewals won’t see a price increase. If you cancel your subscription and sign up again, though, you will be charged the new price.

Jed MacKay’s *X-Men* series has been quite successful, and this new story, “The Age of Overture,” is his creation. However, I feel *Amazing X-Men* #1 shares some of the same weaknesses as his *X-Men* title. To put it simply, MacKay doesn’t seem well-suited to writing major team books, and this issue proves it. While it’s a decent story, it’s predictable and lacks surprises. MacKay’s *X-Men* works largely because it borrows ideas from Grant Morrison’s *New X-Men* and Brian Bendis’s *Uncanny X-Men*. Similarly, *Amazing X-Men* #1 only succeeds as a story because it relies on a very basic alternate universe premise.

Characters like Pain, Madara Uchiha, and Obito Uchiha were incredibly well-developed villains who really enriched the story. Unfortunately, not all of the antagonists reached that same level of quality, either in terms of power or personality. Let’s take a look back at the weakest villains in the series – those who were meant to impact the story of *Naruto* but didn’t quite measure up, and in some cases weren’t compelling enough to even be considered true villains due to their lack of strength and complexity.

The island is overrun with dangerous creatures, likely because it’s been abandoned for a long time. This creates exciting combat opportunities. The Protectorate controls Paradise Island, and you’ll need to get past a guarded drawbridge to enter. You have several options for doing so, including manipulating a Senior Warden by exposing supposed ‘traitors’ among their ranks, which will earn you safe passage.
