Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers first came out in 1998 and is now available on Steam for the first time after 27 years. It’s even been verified to work well on the Steam Deck, but that’s not all players have to look forward to. A major improvement is the addition of Rollback Netcode, which is considered one of the best ways to experience fighting games. This technology ensures a smooth connection between players, almost completely removing input lag and buffering.

From the powerful Dark Lord to the simple hobbits, the Ring impacted many characters in Tolkien’s stories. Isildur’s arrogance led to the downfall of an era, Déagol’s fishing outing became a tragic event, and Gollum’s 500-year fixation drastically altered Middle-earth. Plus, Tolkien never revealed the identity of one enigmatic Ring-bearer, sparking fan theories for over 70 years. Here’s a complete list of every character who ever possessed, or wore, the Precious.

As a big fan of both DC and Marvel, I’ve always noticed how similar some of their characters are. It’s pretty clear that over the years, both companies have borrowed ideas from each other. There were definitely times when they’d lift traits or characteristics from a successful character on the other side. Sometimes it was a straight-up copy, and other times they’d poke fun at their rivals by creating a parody. Honestly, it seems like DC has been guilty of this more often – they’ve created so many characters who feel like counterparts to Marvel heroes. It’s just something I’ve picked up on as I’ve followed both universes!

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:

Recently, Activision’s Prototype got an unusual new update on Steam, and fans noticed it quickly. Considering Prototype was released over 15 years ago, a new patch for the PC version was quite strange and hinted that something might be happening with the game privately. The situation became even more interesting when fans investigated the update more closely.

The upcoming movie, starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy, centers on the characters played by Gosling and Flynn Gray as they are pursued across the galaxy. A new rumor regarding the plot of Starfighter suggests that Gray’s character possesses Force sensitivity – likely the reason he’s being hunted. Furthermore, the rumor claims that Amy Adams, who portrays his mother, will be a Jedi in the film. There’s been speculation that Adams will play Mara Jade from the Legends continuity in Starfighter, and this new information makes that possibility seem more likely.

Many games throughout the years haven’t reached their full potential without help from the modding community. A rocky start can be very damaging – if a game is full of bugs when it first releases, it can be hard to recover. Bad news travels fast, and games with problematic launches, like MindsEye, often face an intense challenge to regain popularity. However, even when developers are still trying to fix issues, passionate mod creators have often stepped in to rescue struggling games. Whether by adding new content or improving the overall experience, these 3 games wouldn’t be as successful as they are today without the contributions of modders.

Family Guy just released the first trailer for its new Halloween special, and it looks like they’re going all-out this year. Last year’s special featured some famous guest stars and even brought Rupert to life, but this year’s seems to be a Halloween-themed adventure for the whole Family Guy cast. That’s a shift from the Stewie-focused story we saw last year. You can see more in the trailer video below.

I’ve finished playing Ghost of Yotei and gave it a 4 out of 5 in my review. I especially liked its movie-like gameplay, compelling story of revenge, and beautiful open world. I did play before the first update, though, and I ran into a few problems. PlayStation has promised to fix many of these, and it looks like those fixes will be included in an update available on October 2nd. We don’t know exactly how big the update will be, but it addresses some small issues that could slow things down, as well as various bugs and more.
