The movie, now titled *The Social Reckoning*, is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 9, 2026, according to *Variety*. The film stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Bill Burr, and Jeremy Strong. The script, written by Aaron Sorkin, is based on the reporting in *The Facebook Files*, a *Wall Street Journal* series that revealed the harmful effects of Facebook and social media. Mikey Madison will play Frances Haugen, the Facebook whistleblower, while Jeremy Allen White will portray journalist Jeff Horwitz. Jeremy Strong has taken over the role of Mark Zuckerberg, previously held by Jesse Eisenberg.
