A new update for *Borderlands 4* is available now. While not a huge update, it addresses important stability issues, especially for PC players experiencing crashes. Gearbox has fixed crashes caused by specific animations and audio glitches, and also made small improvements to the Reward Center and a mission involving Zadra.
The critically acclaimed film *Arrival*, directed by Denis Villeneuve (known for *Dune*) and starring Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams, is now streaming on Paramount+ again. It was briefly available earlier this year but had been removed. Now, viewers can once more enjoy what many consider to be one of the greatest movies about first contact with aliens.
Ever since Lost finished airing in May 2010, it’s been a major inspiration for many other TV shows. Several series have attempted to capture what made Lost so popular – things like a large, interconnected cast of characters, a story that jumps around in time, a focus on mysteries and the supernatural, and the struggle to survive in unusual circumstances. However, recreating the unique appeal of Lost has proven difficult, and numerous shows that have premiered since then haven’t quite managed to become the next big hit like it. With *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild*, Nintendo pioneered a new approach to game design, and it worked brilliantly. However, their subsequent efforts to recreate that success haven’t gone well. *Pokemon Scarlet* and *Pokemon Violet* were plagued with glitches, and *Mario Kart World’s* open world feels pointless and doesn’t encourage players to explore. Even the upcoming *Metroid Prime 4: Beyond*, which showed promise with open areas, disappointed fans. To maintain its reputation, Nintendo needs to move away from this trend and focus on what it excels at.
Sony is currently emailing PlayStation Network users a $100 voucher for the PlayStation Store if they upgrade to a PS5 console by September 20th. Check your email inbox – attached to your PSN account – as you might have already received one. However, upgrading to the new PS5 Slim might be tricky, as it’s been hard to find in stock since the console’s price went up.
This game was initially expected to come to Sony’s platform, but a difficult release last year caused delays. The developer, Asobo Studio, needed time to fix some issues before considering a port.
CD Projekt Red (CDPR) recently posted job openings on X, seeking people to join their teams and work on future games like *The Witcher 4* and *Cyberpunk 2*. One particularly noteworthy position is for a Lead Network Engineer.
