A hint for a fresh Community Day event in Pokemon Go has been dropped by Niantic. So far, they’ve only shared a brief teaser video on social media showcasing both the original Kanto Ponyta and its Galarian counterpart. Based on the Community Day schedule disclosed last week, we’re looking at September 14th as the likely date for this event. The specific hour hasn’t been unveiled yet, but typically it runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in local time. This upcoming event will kick off the first of three Community Days in the new season starting on September 3rd.

After playing Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over ten years, Academy Award winner Robert Downey Jr. is going back to the franchise. Not only has he been cast as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom in the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” films, but it was announced at this month’s D23 Expo that Downey will also reprise his Iron Man role for a new theme park ride at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus. In a recent interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Downey discussed the background of how these two Marvel returns came about, explaining the significant roles played by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger in the process.

2K Games and Hanger 13 have unveiled “Mafia: The Old Country,” the latest addition to the widely acclaimed Mafia series. Since the launch of “Mafia III” in 2016, Hanger 13 has reworked the original “Mafia” game into “Mafia: Definitive Edition” and enhanced “Mafia II.” After almost a decade without a fresh installment, Hanger 13 is diving back into Mafia territory, but this time they’re venturing into prequel territory instead of sequel.

Dungeons & Dragons Announces New D&D Direct For Next Week

Dungeons & Dragons is gearing up to announce their slate of 2025 books. Today, Wizards of the Coast announced that they would air a new D&D Direct on August 27th on their YouTube channel. The video will feature a final look at the 2024 Player’s Handbook ahead of its September release along with an “outline” for the future of D&D that will feature “thrilling challenges, familiar realms, and formidable foes.” The D&D Direct will also include a look at Project Sigil, giving fans a new look at the upcoming virtual tabletop (VTT) system described as an “immersive 3D sandbox” ahead of its closed beta later this year.
