According to Bloomberg’s report, the team was in talks with parent company Annapurna Pictures about becoming a standalone entity, but discussions ended when co-founder Megan Ellison withdrew from the negotiations. This led to the resignation of Annapurna Interactive’s president and co-founder, Nathan Gary.

According to Game File, Microsoft is planning to reduce its workforce in the gaming division by another 650 positions. This decision was confirmed by Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, in an email sent out to company employees today.
