I’ve been thoroughly impressed by Justin Hartley’s recent string of successful roles, starting with Smallville and its character Oliver Queen, followed by This is Us and now CBS’s Tracker with Colter Shaw. Despite the distinct differences between these characters, as both the scripts demanded and Hartley brought to life in his acting, there seems to be a hidden connection. During our conversation at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend, Hartley shared that there are traces of Oliver Queen within Colter Shaw, even if it may not be noticeable to viewers at first. Furthermore, Hartley and showrunner Elwood Reid hinted that Tracker will include subtle nods acknowledging Hartley’s time as the Green Arrow.

Prior to its theater debut in 2016, the “Ghostbusters” remake with a female cast drew intense online criticism and harassment. Dan Aykroyd, an original “Ghostbusters” star and producer, appeared in the movie and later expressed his continued support for the project, acknowledging that he could have taken on a more significant role in securing its budget. Despite receiving favorable critical feedback and a decent box office performance, the film’s substantial production costs prevented it from generating a sequel.

Following a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, Dark Horse Books will release the gritty noir crime thriller “Blacking Out” in stores. This graphic novel is the creation of writer Chip Mosher (“Left On Mission”), artist Peter Krause (“The Power of Shazam!, Irredeemable”), colorist Giulia Brusco (“Scalped, Django Unchained”), and letterer Ed Dukeshire (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”). “Blacking Out” invites readers into the complex world of former cop Conrad, who is determined to uncover the identity of Karen Littleton’s killer. His investigation leads him to some ominous and perilous locales. ComicBook interviewed Mosher about the three-year process of bringing “Blacking Out” to life, as well as the threats Conrad encounters during his investigation, and a sneak peek into what lies ahead.

The release of A Quiet Place: Day One signified the first expansion of the A Quiet Place franchise, following the remarkable achievement of the initial two films in terms of audience and critical reception. A significant aspect that drew viewers in was the adorable feline character named Frodo. In this prequel, Schnitzel and Nico portrayed Frodo on screen.
