This weekend saw the much-anticipated release of Tim Burton’s sequel to Beetlejuice, and it has proven to be a massive hit at the box office. The film, with its catchphrase “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice“, has earned an impressive $111 million domestically, making it only the third movie this year to open with over $100 million in North America. When you factor in its international earnings, the new Beetlejuice has made a staggering $147 million in its debut weekend. This figure is all the more impressive when you consider the success of the original movie.

The final episodes of Oshi no Ko Season 2 are approaching for this summer, and the sneak peek for Episode 10 hints at major secrets coming to light. The last few weeks have been particularly thrilling as we delve into the 2.5D Stage Play arc, where Aqua Hoshino and other young actors have brought the Tokyo Blade stage play adaptation to life. This new challenge has allowed these talented individuals to showcase their skills in a completely fresh way after putting in all that hard work.

Today, there’s been confirmation that Marvel Studios is pushing ahead with Spider-Man 4 without Jon Watts as director, instead opting for Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In 2021, Marvel secured a deal with Cretton, indicating their eagerness to collaborate further. Despite concerns over the fate of Shang-Chi 2 due to a lack of updates, Cretton had previously moved on from the sequel to work on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty project (which he also left). However, it seems that everything can be rectified by bringing Simu Liu back as Shang-Chi in Spider-Man 4.

To mark the 15th anniversary of Hajime Isayama’s “Attack on Titan” manga, which debuted in Kodansha’s “Bessatsu Shonen Magazine” in 2009, a new project has been unveiled to kick off grand celebrations. The series quickly gained immense popularity over the years, thanks in part to its successful anime adaptation that took it to unprecedented heights. After the anime concluded, saying goodbye to “Attack on Titan” was bittersweet for fans.

The announcement was made on Monday afternoon that Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the upcoming installment in the shared Spider-Man film series from Marvel and Sony. Replacing Jon Watts, Tom Holland returns for his fourth solo Spider-Man film, with early production possibly starting in 2025. This means that, indeed, we can expect Spider-Man 4 soon. However, an important question remains: What type of Spider-Man movie will this be as Marvel prepares for its creation?
