The latest Pokemon game introduces three new starter Pokemon: Browt, a Grass-type; Pombon, a Fire-type; and Gecqua, a Water-type. Players will also encounter a special version of Pikachu.

This new game, centered around battles, will have gameplay that feels familiar to fans. It will include two different ways to play, three distinct battle modes, and compatibility with Pokemon Home so you can transfer your Pokemon.

The recent launch of Requiem on Steam is remarkably successful. It reached a peak of 168,191 concurrent players, surpassing even Resident Evil 4 Remake (which peaked at 168,191) and ranking third behind Resident Evil Village (106,631). Given that Resident Evil 4 Remake was a remake of a classic and Resident Evil Village was the most recent major installment in that series, Requiem’s performance is a huge achievement. As for all games published by this company on Steam, Requiem currently ranks fifth, trailing only Monster Hunter World, and this is before the full weekend player count is tallied.

A popular fan theory suggests the origins of the Borg can be traced back to the first Star Trek movie. Specifically, Spock’s line, “Any show of resistance would be futile,” is seen as a precursor to the Borg’s famous phrase, “Resistance is futile.” This has led fans to believe the Borg might have been created by, or come from, the same advanced machine civilization responsible for V’Ger (originally Voyager 6). Although this connection isn’t officially confirmed in Star Trek canon, it was embraced by William Shatner, a star of the original series, so much that he included it in one of his Star Trek novels.

The new game Resident Evil Requiem is the first to utilize a technology that Sony says maintains a smooth frame rate and high image quality. According to Masaru Ijuin, a Senior Manager at Capcom, this technology will make details like light reflecting off hair look even sharper than on a standard PlayStation 5.

If you’re looking for a thrilling watch, now’s a great time to check out The Prophecy. This 1995 film, which marked Gregory Widen’s first time directing a feature film, recently became available on Paramount+. The movie kicks off a five-film series and tells the story of a heavenly conflict that descends to Earth. The dangerous angel Gabriel arrives, searching for the most wicked person to help him win a war in Heaven. When a priest-turned-police officer tries to protect a young girl who unknowingly possesses this crucial soul, he gets pulled into this epic battle.

Following the second season of Bridgerton, several key characters have been noticeably absent or had reduced roles. Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset, didn’t return, and Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne appeared less and less, eventually not appearing at all in Season 3. This trend continued in Season 3 and into Season 4 with Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), who have minimal screen time and only make a brief return later in Season 4.
