At the Gamescom event today, Capcom unveiled an opportunity for testing their upcoming title, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (Resident Evil Requiem). Developers graciously permitted recording of footage, offering a sneak peek into the game’s terrifying stalker character, colloquially known as the ‘mama monster’.

Following her hospital bed’s escape, Grace ventures into her surroundings, coming across a lighter and an empty ink ribbon container. Simultaneously, she encounters a lifeless body, which is swiftly seized and devoured by the emergent stalker-like adversary. For the first time, we gain a full view of this menacing figure, from its extended limbs to its colossal eyes.

Developer GSC Game World has announced that  S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro in late 2025. The team says the PS5 version “will fully utilize DualSense controller features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for deeper player immersion. Further technical enhancements for the PS5 Pro are also in development.” STALKER 2 released to critical acclaim on PC and Xbox Series X|S last November, with iggn.ru awarding the survival first-person shooter an 8 out of 10.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl for PS5 launches November 20

The video game titled “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” was released for Xbox Series and PC platforms on November 20, 2024, through Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. By the end of its launch, it had sold more than one million copies. Moreover, it can also be accessed via Game Pass.
