The debut of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been likened to Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of its release. Both games have struggled with performance problems and glitches, which their developers have attempted to fix through regular patches and updates. Regrettably, similar to the 1.0.1 update that caused even more issues and crashes than it solved, the recently released 1.1 patch seems to be following a similar trend.

GSC Game World has rolled out update 1.1 for Stalker 2, jam-packed with a remarkable assortment of fixes addressing approximately 1500 issues within the game. This update includes modifications to the debated A-Life system, along with additional enhancements.
It seems that Stalker 2’s debut on PC last month followed a pattern that was likely anticipated. The game has endured over a decade of development difficulties, compounded by the harsh reality of war in its native land. Add to this the well-known issue of buggy yet exceptional games in the Stalker series, and Stalker 2 found itself, as our reviewer Josh put it, plagued with performance problems and bugs that “failed to obscure the mad, wonderful essence of Stalker”.

This new version, labeled as patch 1.1, brings about numerous enhancements and boasts an impressive 1,800 bug fixes. This latest STALKER 2 update arrived a month after the game’s launch, addressing the lingering issues such as bugs and glitches that were still under correction in the eagerly anticipated sequel, which received generally favorable reviews upon release.
