In just two weeks since Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl hit the shelves, it’s clear that this game is still evolving. The developers at GSC Game World have already rolled out a day-one patch to tackle some ongoing issues, but there’s still one significant feature missing – the A-Life 2.0 system as initially advertised on Steam. To clarify why A-Life 2.0 hasn’t made its way into the game yet and what changes were made to the Steam page, GSC Game World is now sharing some insights.

One of the amazing things about Stalker 2‘s world is the dynamic weather effects that look and feel realistic. One of these weather phenomena is a giant Tornado Anomaly in the northwest part of the world that’s moving around the shipyard and wreaking havoc in the area. Any player’s first instinct would be to stay away from such a terrifying force of nature, but going into the anomaly and positioning yourself in the right place will reward you with the legendary Weird Bolt artifact in Stalker 2.

Among first-person survival horror games, there’s arguably none that offers such a gripping atmosphere, high tension, and sheer anxiety like the Stalker series does.

The developers of Stalker 2’s game world, under the GSC banner, acknowledged that they reduced the effectiveness of the A-Life 2.0 simulation system in the game, primarily because of technical issues related to performance.

Game World’s Stalker 2 by GSC was launched before being fully completed, yet we found ourselves deeply engaged during our playtime with this survival game.
