If you’re curious about the purpose of the collars you’ve been collecting from mutants in Stalker 2, you can learn what they do during the “In the Name of Science” quest. To initiate this mission, you need to give Shcherba the scientific documents that you found during the “In Search of Past Glory” quest. In this mission, your task is to collect five additional collars from mutants within the Zone. Once you’ve gathered them all, you’ll need to enter another abandoned structure in order for the device to function properly.

In the narrative of Stalker 2, players will find themselves revisiting some famous locations from the initial series, such as the ancient Clear Sky base nestled in the Great Swamps. However, reaching this location won’t be simple, as the area has grown increasingly perilous over time.

A player of “STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl” has stumbled upon a remarkable Easter egg that links back to the original series, showcasing the meticulous care taken during game development. Contrary to its title, “STALKER 2” is actually the fourth installment in the series. While it can be played as a standalone game, it has numerous connections to the previous games, including recurring characters, locations, and, surprisingly, items from other “STALKER” titles.
