According to Steam Replay’s annual review, it appears that Steam gamers tend to favor older games. In fact, games released as far back as eight years ago accounted for a significant 37% of the total gaming time on Steam in 2024. Furthermore, titles that were between one and seven years old took up nearly half of all playtime (47%). On the other hand, only 15% of the playing time was spent on games released in 2024.
