After wrapping up at Tokyo Game Show 2024, I visited several partners and it was fantastic to converse with the heads of Japanese publishers, gaining their insights and advice. This trip was as inspiring as ever. That’s what Xbox CEO Phil Spencer shared on Threads earlier this week, rounding off Microsoft’s substantial presence at the show.

It’s time for Insiders to update Windows 11 if they want to try the latest clock app and version of the Microsoft Store

Microsoft is currently allowing some new features and updates to be tested among members of its Canary Channel Insiders. Most recently, they released Windows 11 Build 22718 for testing, and they’ve also distributed an upgraded version of the Microsoft Store to Insiders in both the Dev and Canary channels. Members in the Canary Channel can install this build using Windows Update, or alternatively, they can use the ISO for Build 27718.

As a researcher, I’ve been closely observing the evolutions at OpenAI over the past few months, particularly following the departures of key figures like Mira Murati (CTO), Bob McGrew (Chief Research Officer), and Barret Zoph (Vice President of Research. Notably, there was a brief period when OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, faced scrutiny after an unexpected decision by the board of directors to remove him from his position, eventually leading to his reinstatement five days later in response to growing staff support. This has undeniably been a time of significant change at OpenAI.
