The major enhancement in this update is the compatibility with NVIDIA’s latest DLSS 4 software on PC, an advanced version of their Super Resolution technology designed to improve performance. DLSS combines AI-powered resolution scaling and frame generation (available only in DLSS 3+ and older RTX 4000 GPUs) to significantly increase framerates while maintaining visual quality as much as possible. The new DLSS 4 version does this more efficiently and effectively than its predecessors. Additionally, DLSS 4 introduces an upgraded form of frame generation, exclusively for the new RTX 5000 “Blackwell” graphics cards called Multi-Frame Generation. This feature allows NVIDIA’s AI to generate multiple synthetic frames between natively rendered ones instead of just one, enhancing the AI’s ability to improve performance and visual quality.
