Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are still adjusting to a change in dynamics.
Ever since the Teen Mom stars disclosed that Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon Davis and Teresea Davis, terminated their adoption, I can’t help but feel a pang in my heart as I’ve learned we’ve completely lost contact with this cherished family.
Brandon and Teresa directly informed their adoption counselor Dawn that they needed to block her for their own well-being,” Catelynn confided in Kailyn Lowry and Maci Bookout during the March 28 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. “And I was taken aback, saying ‘Your mental health, your mental health?’ It was like a wave of every emotion I felt when I embraced her at the hospital and bid her farewell.
Dawn expressed, ‘Teresa mentioned that there should be a conversation, and she requires a genuine apology,’ she continued. ‘I responded, ‘You’re the one who needs an apology? For what? For revealing the truth about your character and actions towards us? I am entitled to a sincere apology.’
In 2009, Catelynn, together with Tyler, made the decision to place their daughter Carly up for adoption. Now, Catelynn asserted that Teresa and her spouse are against any communication between them and Carly, not even during significant events.
Catelynn clarified, “She asked Dawn to convey to us that we should no longer send gifts as it’s unexpected and not appropriate. However, she requested anonymity. But I said, ‘Well, now I’m sharing it openly. I’m making it public knowledge.’
Tyler added, “You have my kid, you can’t take my story, too.”
Even though Catelynn has had three children, Nova (10), Vaeda (5), and Rya (3), all with Tyler, she mentioned that despite the ongoing issues with Carly’s adoptive parents, they often face criticism from others who question whether they should have visitation rights with their daughter.
In the latter part of the show, during a chat on a podcast with TikTok personality Jordy Cray, Tyler expressed his annoyance towards individuals whose public comments about their circumstances might not be beneficial for any potential future relationship with Carly.
He expressed indifference towards Brandon and Teresa at the moment, saying something along the lines of, “Well, if access has been cut off, then…
As a lifestyle expert speaking here, let me share my perspective: I’ve always been transparent about our journey because I wanted Carly to see that we’ve never given up on our commitment. It’s crucial for her to understand this, and I believe it’s important for her to know where our heart lies.
Moreover, by sharing our experiences openly, we aim to foster awareness about adoption among everyone involved. This transparency is not just a token of our dedication but also a step towards educating others and breaking down the barriers surrounding this beautiful process.
As per Tyler, they’ve decided to keep much of their personal story confidential, considering how it might affect their daughter’s perspective of them in the years to come.
He mentioned that they hadn’t discussed many occurrences within private spaces, but what mattered most to him was having the opportunity to see her and gain access to her. This is his top priority.
However, as per Catelynn’s account, the primary concern for Teresa and Brandon regarding their daughter was centered around her interactions with their other kids.
Carly has often stated that her sister is someone specific. Therefore, I assumed it was fine and followed suit. Hearing the word ‘sister’ from Teresa resonates strongly with her.
Tyler mentioned, “That feels awkward to me.” He then asked, “Would ‘birth sibling’ be suitable? What term do you prefer for her? Honestly, she didn’t seem to have a clear response.

13 years ago, I was glued to my screen as I watched Catelynn Lowell and her now-husband Tyler Baltierra make the heartbreaking decision to place their first daughter, sweet Carly, for adoption on the very first season of “16 and Pregnant.” Fast forward to 2015, these fan-adored couple tied the knot in August and since then, they’ve welcomed three more beautiful daughters into their family: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.
Despite the lingering pain from Carly’s absence, who resides with her adoptive family, Brandon and Teresa Davis, they continue to struggle for a brighter tomorrow.
In my perspective as a dedicated follower, I shared during an interview with TopMob News in January 2025: “The connection we have is whatever she desires it to be.” Catelynn here refers to the bond we share. Whether she wishes to maintain a relationship with her biological siblings, or if she prefers connecting with us, that’s fantastic. If she doesn’t, I fully comprehend her choice. Whatever form this relationship takes for her, it should always revolve around her needs and preferences, as it must be centered on the adoptee’s perspective.
In the span of just under half a year, Maci Bookout found herself in a challenging relationship with an unreliable Ryan Edwards on the show ’16 and Pregnant’. Despite getting engaged, this teenage couple parted ways barely a year after their son Bentley was born in 2008.
Currently, they are working towards establishing a strong partnership in shared parenting. As reported by TopMob News in 2023, Maci divulged that Ryan has been making regular appearances more frequently than ever before, which was previously not the case.
In 2012, Maci discovered her long-term partner in Taylor McKinney from Texas, and the duo started expanding their team not long after. They were blessed with daughter Jayde in May 2015, followed by son Maverick a year later. The couple got married in Florida in October of the same year.
As a devoted partner, I share life, parenthood, and our TTM Lifestyle fashion brand with my significant other. In an interview with TopMob News in 2023, I expressed that he’s simply irreplaceable to me. Despite the challenging moments we’ve faced together throughout the year, I believe that at the heart of it all, I continue to stand by him. He remains someone I appreciate, and even though there are times when I feel like I could use a good sparring session with him, I prefer to resolve our disagreements or endure our rough patches with him rather than experience tranquility without any turbulence elsewhere.
Regardless of having new partners, the MTV celebrities, who became acquainted during ‘The Challenge’, remain united in raising their daughter named Ryder.
Cheyenne shared with TopMob News in March 2020 that the most significant aspect since Cory entered Ryder’s life was his desire to be a dedicated father and parent. She made it clear she wouldn’t accept him being a ‘Disneyland dad’ or an ‘Instagram dad,’ only present when it’s convenient. Instead, she required him to be fully committed. It seems that from the start, he admired her commitment, which is why they co-parent so effectively.
Following the conclusion of their romance in 2018, they chose to rekindle their bond. During Cheyenne’s 28th birthday celebrations, she announced on Instagram that they had reconciled. In May 2021, they welcomed their first-born son Ace into their lives, and later tied the knot in September 2022.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne expressed, “For the past two years, we’ve been crossing items off our bucket list. Our dream was to have a baby, and now we have Ace. Our goal was to get married, and we had our wedding ceremony. Our ambition was to buy a house, and we managed to purchase our own home.
She went on to say, “I have no desire for action or setting a target. Instead, I wish to rest, to remain motionless. My aim is simply to find contentment in our current situation and to appreciate each other. That’s all I seek.
Despite appearing on ‘Ex on the Beach’ seemingly not leading to a romantic beginning, Cory and Taylor Selfridge from ‘Are You the One?’ have endured and even grown their family over several years, now raising two beautiful daughters named Mila and Maya.
In 2023, he confided in TopMob News that he had recently purchased a new house. He also acknowledged the curiosity about his marriage plans, assuring everyone that discussions were underway. “We’ve discussed it thoroughly,” he said, “but we’re still waiting for the perfect moment to propose. Taylor and I both want this, and I believe she deserves nothing less.” For now, they are preparing for the next step in their journey together.
After tying the knot with Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017, Ryan found himself checking into rehab not long after. Their first son, Jagger, was born in 2018 while Ryan was still undergoing treatment.
This version attempts to make the sentence more conversational and easier for a casual reader to understand.
In January 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter Stella, but three years later, Mackenzie initiated a divorce. Currently, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner, who is pregnant with their first child.
Despite their tumultuous relationship ending definitively in 2013, the pair successfully shared parenting responsibilities for many years, raising their teenage daughter Leah together.
Amber shared with TopMob News in January 2022, “We enjoy each other’s company while keeping apart, but our bond is strong and nurtured like a family rather than any other relationship.
It’s worth noting that families can have disagreements at times. Lately, Amber has been posting comments on social media that imply her and Gary might not be getting along so well anymore, hinting at a possible strain in their relationship as exes.
Following several years as a couple, an engagement was made and a brief attempt at reconciliation on ‘Marriage Boot Camp’, Amber and Massachusetts native Matt Baier ended their engagement in the year 2017.
On Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast, Amber admitted that at some point, she simply grew tired of listening and began to no longer care about the relationship. She felt this indifference was likely what developed between her and him. She explained that she built a wall around herself to prevent further pain.
On the set of “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber developed feelings for crew member Andrew Glennon, eventually forming a romantic relationship with him. They first appeared together as a couple at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in May 2018, they welcomed their first child, James, into their family.
However, the pair parted ways shortly following Amber’s arrest on charges of domestic battery in July 2019. After a prolonged and difficult court case, California-born Andrew was granted full legal rights and primary physical custody of their child in 2022.
The “Teen Mom” celebrity shared with TopMob News that she has put in tremendous effort to grow personally and strengthen her bonds with her children. She emphasized that while she has been open about her history of substance abuse and mental health challenges, everyone deserves a chance to make amends and move beyond their past struggles.
With unwavering resolve, she said, “Even if your path hasn’t been smooth, yet you’ve striven tirelessly to improve, grow into a stronger, steadier, and kinder individual today, continue your journey as I do. Know that I’ll never cease my struggle for the children I cherish above all else.
Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on “Teen Mom OG” in April 2020. Amber described him as a 39-year-old man from Belgium who is quite attractive. She added, “He’s 10 years older than me, but we hit it off and decided to meet since we both liked each other.
Back in April 2021, Amber shared on the special reunion episode of “Teen Mom OG” that she was still in a relationship with Dimitri. She stated, “We’ve been acquainted for about 18 months now, but I haven’t seen him for a year.” Although they didn’t publicly confirm a breakup, Amber later introduced her new partner, Gary Wayt, during an episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” in June 2024.
Following Amber linking up with Gary 2.0 through a dating app in autumn of 2023, he appeared on her screen as she presented him to her fellow ‘Teen Mom’ friends during a virtual meeting.
Despite his proposal in May 2024, their relationship didn’t last long. During her brother’s wedding in North Carolina in June, Gary left them following an argument, causing Amber to file a missing persons report.
And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.
Amber shared, on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, that she spent three to four days believing her fiancé was deceased. She described dealing with the emotional turmoil of grieving and struggling to understand why such a thing could happen to her. At present, she is going through a challenging time.
She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Prior to this, I had always been strong and steady. For the first time in years, I’m not functioning as I should because a man proposed to me.
Several months had passed since Gary and his wife, Kristina Anderson, became parents to their daughter Emilee in April 2015. Eventually, they chose to formalize their union with a heartwarming beach wedding ceremony.
In a 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed, “Your soul is incredibly radiant and beautiful, one of the finest I’ve encountered. I can’t imagine facing life without your presence by my side.
Two months before Sophia, the daughter of Farrah Abraham, was born in December 2008, her father tragically passed away in an accident.
In a significant romantic involvement since the passing of her high school sweetheart, Farrah had an on-again, off-again relationship with Simon Saran, who works in real estate, lasting more than two years.
Despite their 2017 separation becoming quite contentious, they made an effort to maintain some form of friendship, albeit with some difficulty.
Simon explained to TopMob News that he holds no grudges against Farrah. He stated that they come from distinct backgrounds – she prefers a fabricated lifestyle, while he seeks authenticity. Despite their differences, he wishes her nothing but the best and great success in all her future endeavors.
Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, who are Jace’s parents, parted ways soon after his birth in 2009. Unfortunately, since then, Jenelle has had little to no involvement in her son’s life.
Jenelle pondered on an episode of Teen Mom 2 in 2019, saying, “I do feel sorry for Jace since he’s his dad, but I know his character, and I don’t want him to let down my son. I don’t want him to reappear and then vanish again.
Following a one-year marriage with Courtland Rogers and giving birth to her second child, Kaiser, from her previous relationship with Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle subsequently married David Eason on their North Carolina property in September 2017, eight months after they had their daughter Ensley.
Following a difficult period, David was accused of a minor child abuse offense relating to Jace. At the time, Jenelle described it as a smear campaign against him. Later on, Jenelle shared that they had parted ways. She stated on social media that she would have immediately filed for divorce, but due to North Carolina state laws, you must be legally separated for a year before doing so, and you need to demonstrate separate living arrangements.
Recall the suave fellow who once enquired from his girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about when he could “finalize the documents regarding that error” or “when he could transfer ownership of that blunder”?
Completely in the rearview.
Despite seemingly insurmountable challenges, the reality TV personality turned HGTV star, previously known as Teen Mom’s star, maintains a surprisingly harmonious bond with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s mother. “There’s no undercurrent of negativity and it’s simply an open relationship,” she shared with Us Weekly. “There are no lingering tensions. We occasionally cross paths, and everything is perfectly alright.
In 2014, a chance encounter at a gas station marked the start of something beautiful between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. They officially tied the knot in October 2016, and their bond has been unbreakable ever since. Their family expanded with the arrival of their son Watson in 2017, followed by daughters Layne and Walker in 2018 and 2021. Now, they have embarked on a new shared adventure: their HGTV series titled Down Home Fab.
Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her thoughts on returning to television. She wanted the return to be about something uplifting, enjoyable, and genuine, showcasing who they truly are. In her own words, she found this move to be an exciting chance to express themselves in just such a way.
Initially close friends who decided to tie the knot when Leah Messer and Corey Simms were still in high school, they later chose to go separate ways just six months after their October 2010 wedding. This union, which brought forth now-teenagers Aleeah and Aliannah, ended in a divorce filing by the parents themselves.
Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.
In the year 2012, Leah tied the knot with Jeremy Calvert. The following year, they were blessed with a daughter whom they named Adalynn.
Despite splitting up in 2015, they have been diligent in co-parenting their daughter, with varying success at times. Leah shared with TopMob News that she feels more fulfilled than ever before, stating, “I’m looking at the best version of myself.” She also expressed joy in witnessing her daughters’ passions and interests, as well as being able to support them and be involved in their lives. In her own words, “Being a mom, especially a girl mama, is magical. I love it.
By the year 2021, when Leah made their relationship Instagram official with Jaylan Mobley, this U.S. Army officer had won over not only Leah but also her children as well.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.
A year on, the ‘Teen Mom’ celebrity openly admitted to TopMob News that they truly needed the breakup. They shared that they have gained valuable insights from their past split, and as a result, they are now more eager than ever, feeling like a new chapter in their life is just unfolding.
Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera at the age of seventeen, back in 2010.
Despite parting ways a year later, they’ve now established a harmonious co-parenting setup. Interestingly, Kailyn teamed up with Jo’s wife, Vee Torres, to host her discontinued podcast titled “Baby Mamas No Drama“. Kailyn expressed her feelings after attending Jo and Vee’s wedding in 2018, saying “We’ve come a long way since we were 18. I couldn’t ask for a more suitable stepmother for Isaac.
In the realm of reality television, I became a part of the team around November 2013, following closely on the heels of my mom Kailyn’s wedding to my dad Javi Marroquin, which took place approximately a year prior. That’s me, Lincoln, the second son in our family from the hit show Teen Mom 2.
Since parting ways in late 2016, Javi and his fiancée Lauren Comeau, who share a son named Eli, revealed in December 2023 that they were going to have another child, this time a daughter.
Despite Kailyn giving birth to sons Lux and Creed together with her partner Chris Lopez throughout their off-again, on-again relationship, they ultimately decided to end things permanently.
In an interview with TopMob News last year, I shared that our communication is currently non-existent. I’m optimistic that things will improve as time goes on, but I don’t have any grand plans or aspirations at the moment. I simply hope for the best and wish for a resolution, whatever form it may take, for the sake of our children.
With her current partner Elijah Scott, Kailyn now feels she has a solid base. As she shared with People, Elijah is different from her past partners and the fathers of her kids. “He’s unlike anyone else I’ve been with,” she said of Elijah, father to her son Rio and twins Verse and Valley. “He works hard on construction sites, but he’s also a devoted family man. He’s deeply connected with his own family as well as ours, which makes him an excellent partner for me. I believe our partnership is a strong match.
A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.
In response to TopMob News in September 2024, Kailyn clarified that her neighbor-turned-spouse had proposed multiple times, and she never responded with a flat-out ‘no’. Instead, she expressed agreement, but made it clear that she wasn’t ready to tie the knot immediately, saying something along the lines of, “Yes, however, not just yet.
And while she admitted that the construction worker had indeed influenced her viewpoint about marriage, Kailyn isn’t in any hurry to run off and purchase a wedding gown right away. Instead, she humorously remarked, “The timing of our wedding seems to depend on the day you happen to ask me.
Despite facing numerous highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted to followers in January 2022 that things were looking brighter for them.
She shared with TopMob News that significant events took place in our lives, along with substantial advancements in Sean’s life and future. I am immensely proud of him and where we currently stand. Eight months later, they revealed their engagement, getting married in October 2023.
In 2024, Jade confided in TopMob News that their relationship isn’t flawless all the time, but they deeply care for one another and manage to keep things going.
Ashley Jones, a native of California, and Bar Smith exchanged vows privately in the year 2021. This was four years following the birth of their daughter, Holly.
But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.
A while after the birth of Nova, their daughter, in 2011 between the “16 and Pregnant” star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II, there were signs that they were considering rekindling their relationship.
Currently, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024, “These days, what I desire is a mature man, not the young men I’ve become accustomed to dating in the past.
Following her appearance on the solitary season of Teen Mom 3, Briana became a part of Teen Mom 2 in its eighth series. In July 2017, she welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with former boyfriend Luis Miguel.
After that point, Luis’ participation has been minimal at its best. Briana clarified this to Dr. Drew in a December 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2. “I believe he desires a family with me,” she said, “and since I’m not offering that to him, he simply prefers to keep his distance entirely.
