CD Projekt Red Reports Third-Best Year of Net Profit without Releasing Any New Games

CD Projekt Red, a prominent Polish game publisher and developer, recently disclosed their financial report for the year 2024, showcasing impressive results with a net profit ranking as the third highest in their history, even without any significant new game launches.

According to GamesIndustry.biz analysis, CDPR experienced a decrease of about 17.9% in sales compared to the previous year, going from $310 million down to $254 million. Their net profit also dropped by approximately 2.3%, falling from $124 million to $121.5 million. Considering all factors, this decrease isn’t too significant.

The primary factors contributing to this ongoing generosity were the games Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty. Between them, they generated sales totaling $155 million. As of November 2024, it was reported that Cyberpunk had sold over 30 million copies worldwide, while Phantom Liberty surpassed the eight million mark in sales.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but express my excitement after hearing Piotr Nielubowicz, our esteemed CFO, share his thoughts. He proudly declared that both of our beloved franchises have had an outstanding year. It’s no secret that the success of CD Projekt mainly stems from the sales of masterpieces like Cyberpunk 2077 [and Phantom Liberty].
