This upcoming spring, The Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer will return to our televisions, and we’ve just learned who’ll be gracing our screens in the latest season!
Each time, it’s a diverse assortment of well-known television personalities, and for this round, these celebrities will have a fresh judge joining them.
Indeed, you’re correct! Prue Leith won’t grace our screens this season on Celebrity Bake Off, but don’t worry, her stand-in is no stranger – it’s none other than her good friend and former partner in business, Caroline Waldegrave, who was once joint owner and managing director of the prestigious Leiths School of Food & Wine.
Apart from collaborating on several cookbooks together, Waldegrave and Leith have shared their culinary knowledge. Therefore, it is likely that the newly appointed judge possesses some understanding of creating exceptional baked goods.
Without a doubt, Waldegrave will have the company of long-time Bake Off star Paul Hollywood. He’s known for offering his signature handshakes to the standout contestants.
This year’s line-up features Sarah Beeny, a well-known broadcaster, best-selling author, businesswoman, and podcaster; comedian Adam Buxton; Amelia Dimoldenberg, the creator of Chicken Shop Date; Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, popular TV presenters and property experts who are also siblings; Kate Garraway, a TV presenter and broadcaster; and model Ellie Goldstein.
TV personality Gloria Hunniford is also competing for the title of Star Baker, alongside actors like Jim Howick from Ghosts, Gbemisola Ikumelo from Black Ops, radio host Roman Kemp, comedian Jamali Maddix, actress Maxine Peake, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, singer Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor), actress Meera Syal, as well as comedians Tommy Tiernan, Phil Wang, and Sophie Willan.
Every week, I eagerly tune in to Celebrity Bake Off, where four famous faces step up to tackle the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper challenges. At the end of each thrilling episode, a single star emerges victorious as the Star Baker.
In the upcoming season, Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, known for their humor and insightful comments, will once again return as hosts. The event they’re part of, Bake Off, aims to support Stand Up to Cancer.
In the United Kingdom so far, funds totaling over 113 million pounds have been accumulated, primarily used for supporting approximately 73 clinical trials and research initiatives. These efforts involve a significant number of around 13,000 cancer patients.
